Unusual(?) Changes in Right Breast

My right breast has shown some marked changes this year.  It has markedly enlarged, the nipple has retracted, and I have what looks like a bruised area (but it has not been bruised).  A few weeks ago I noticed a very slight amber-colored discharge from the right nipple, I cannot quite tell if the discharge was bloody or not.  About 2 weeks ago, I noticed a lump in the axilla area.  It is not in the middle of my armpit, but rather towards the lower end of the axilla.  The lump feels hard.  The strange thing is that if I put my finger on the lump it will tend to move to the side a bit.  Should I be concerned?  I am 47.  The left breast has not changed at all in shape or appearance.
I did see a Dr about 11 months ago.  He diagnosed fibrocystic changes.  He wanted a mmammogram, but I elected not to do it for 2 reasons.  1) He said my breasts were unusually dense for my age and mammograms do not work well with dense breast tissue. 2) He told me that he was about to take six weeks off for paternity leave.  I did not want to have to wait 6-8 weeks for mammogram results.  I dislike going to doctors anyway, so maybe these were excuses I made up for myself.
Thanks.

Dear Shantimarie, You should have yourself checked.  There are enough concerning symptoms that warrant further evaluation.

Please make an appointment right away with your doctor or another one.  I was told I had fibrocystic disease and that my breasts were dense.  I had a large lump that showed up suspicious on five mammagrams.  My doctor did three separate biopsies and always said it was nothing. It wasn't until the lump in my armpit came up and I went to a different doctor that I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My new doctor said that my tumor was 4.5 cm and that I had it possibly 5-6 years.  I don't want to scare you but you should have it checked out right away because it is better to catch it early.
