Weight gain on Arimidex

I gained about 20 lbs over a 2 year period.  Also, my blood sugar increased from 89 to 6 months later being 529.  So, now I am diabetic too!.  Fortunately, I have been able to keep my sugars down with diet and oral medication but have had no luck losing weight.

Dear Kimw64, Diabetes is not a reported side effect associated with Arimidex, however, weight gain is reported as a side effect albeit an uncommon one.  There is no easy solution to this problem.  Working with your primary care physician, perhaps a dietician who can help with advice and working out a plan that works for you.
