Glad to hear that you DO have confidence in your Doc. Have you ever given any thought to discussing the panic attacks with your Primary Care Physician ? There are mild medications and one of them may be of a great deal of help for you concerning that issue. No sense it letting something like that paralyze you when it comes to certain medical issues ..... help is available if you only ask ... there is no shame in asking :) Take care now.
My gyn is one of the most brilliant doctors I've ever met. Usually I'd just take his word for it and forget about things. Here's the rub: I've had this secret fear about BC for years (probably unfounded coz I'm genetically almost completely unpredisposed to it, had my first kid at 30 and breastfed both my kids). But that's the thing with fears: they're unfounded. Thank you for the reassurance - it helped a bit (I think). My breast isn't hot, and I'm feeling lightheaded on and off but only after I started to panic: think it's stress. I was as healthy as a horse till the day I discovered it. Thanks again for replying. If something else comes up, I'll be sure to write. Though no news would be best news for me.
Not very likely .... a bruise is a bruise and you have described no other symptoms that would indicate any connection to IBC. Although IBC can appear as a small spot on the skin, the breast is usually hot to the touch and symptoms progress at a rapid rate. I would certainly give the antibiotics more time than you have indicated and the fact that you have no idea how long this bruise-like spot has been there is another factor. If you don't have enough confidence in your GYN then by all means make an appointment with a Breast Specialist for a second opinion. I see no reason to get into survival rates as they are very general and first a diagnosis should be confirmed .... don't be thinking too far ahead and letting stress get the better of you. Make an appointment with the Specialist as I'm sure this will put your mind at ease. All the best .......
