What are the side effects of tamoxaphin?

I am on this drug and want to know the side effects

I know from someone who took that drug that hot flashes are a big one.

Hi.
Tamoxifen is one of the hormonal treatments used in breast cancer, either in the adjuvant or metastatic setting.  This drug is given to both premenopausal and postmenopausal breast cancer patients who are hormone responsive.  Serious side effects of Tamoxifen include development of uterine cancer and strokes.  Other less serious side effects of Tamoxifen use include hot flashes, headaches, fatigue, nausea, and vomiting.

Just because the list of possible side effects exists, doesn't mean you will experience them.   I take Tamoxifen and can't really find ANY side effects at all.  I was not menopausal, but my periods have stopped (which for me is a GOOD thing, I'm 56!) but other than that, no problems at all.  -kxa

I just started Tamoxifen a week ago.  I'm SO SO hyper.  My heart is racing.  Every day I feel like I have PMS....I never had that before.  I'm not even close to my next period.  Anyone else have this and how long will these side effects last?
