What does all of this mean???

I just received my mammogram results..Please explain what this means:  Density Code 4  2 small densities are noted on the LCC view Measuring 4mm to 5mm and they are in close proximity along the 6 to 12 o'clock radial.  Else where no neodensities and no other changes from previous mammogram.  No areas of spiculation or architectural distortion. No malignant type of calcifications and no abnormalities of the nipples, subareolar regions, skin margins or axillary regions.
BIRAD category: 0

I am going for a compression and ultrasound on Monday.

Needless to say, I am petrified...what does all of this mean???

Dear Teri48:  This means that there were two small densities seen on the mammogram that were not particularly characterizable.  There was not enough information to say any more.  Very often these will smooth out under spot compression.  Either way, a more focused look will shed light on the situation.  A score of BIRAD 0 means more information is needed.

it just means they saw two tiny areas about which they want additional information before completing the evaluation. Having two very small areas as described is highly unlikely to be serious. Birads 0 just means they aren't finished yet: birads is a score given to indicate levels of concern based on xray findings. 0 means they aren't done so there's no score. What you describe sounds very likely to be nothing; it's being careful to get more views to be sure.
