What does retroareolar fibroglandularity mean?

I have a good sized lump on my right breast and  did a mammogram. The report stated: Focally dense retroareolar fibroglandularity noted. No spiculated masses or malignant type calcification. What is retroareolar fibroglandularity? what does it all mean?  And what should I do a biopsy or an ultrasound next? I am a 39 year old female.

Dear djsnigs:  Retroareolar means behind the nipple and areola.  Fibrogladularity means that the tissue is dense but does not have any cancer characteristics.  Whether any additional workup is needed at this time would be up to your doctor.  You should have a discussion with him/her.
