When does the leg pain end?

by Colleen1376, Jan 04, 2009 11:40AM
I have been done with chemo and radiation almost 2 years (March for Chemo - May for radiation).  I am taking tamoxafen everyday untl May of 09 then they switch it. Since I have ended the chemo I have had severe leg pain and to date still do.  My oncologist gaves me pain pills but that only helps short while.   Then my doctor says that I am addicted to them.  Go figure, he gives them and then accuses me of being addicted!  I have tried eveything, had all kinds of tests and everything has come back and pointed a finger at the Taxol.  Is there anyone else who has been going this with the leg pain?  It feels muscular, like I just came back from hikinh up a step hill.  At night they aew the worst.  Wakes me right up out of a sound sleep.

This discussion is related to Taxol long term effects.

If it feels like muscular pain  i would take  at least 1500 mg of calcium along with at least 800 mg of vitamin D. Also try a heating pad. You may want to try some stretching exercises for your legs too. This helps me.
