Why is my nipple itchy?

I dont know if this leads to breast cancer but im concerned.
im 19, virgin.
my left nipple has been itching since a month back. its so unbearable, i always want to scratch.
one night i did do a little bit of scratching and then it got worse, i have wounded it and there is a watery liquid coming out of the side of the nipple. when it dries up, it dries into a yellow-ish thing. it has been going on for days now, and today i was just checking around the nipple and squeezed it and for my surprise a milky liquid drop came out of no where from the middle of my nipple. i showed my mom and the milky liquid came again. i asked my family doctor about it and she told that it may be an infection and to check if there are any lumps, there arent any weird lumps, i just feel like it has bloated. im a size 32 and i feel like my left one is now 34.

There can be several causes of an itchy nipple area. It could be a reaction to some type of detergent or soap OR the fabric of your bra. It could also be due to the discharge you mentioned. Please DO NOT squeeze the nipple as this will result in even more discharge; it's an automatic response. I can hardly believe that your Dr didn't offer some sort of treatment; perhaps an ointment or changing your detergent or body wash at least. I doubt that infection would be a possibility but if your Dr thought this was a possibility you surely ought to be on some type of antibiotic. If you get no results from your Family Dr then perhaps you might discuss the issue with your OBGYN or maybe even a Dermatologist. In the meantime keep the area Very Clean and Dry and don't squeeze ..... Regards ....
