For the last month I have lived from one test to the next. Mammogram, DigitalDigital rectal exam Mammogram, Stereotactic biopsy and now an excisional biospy. With each one there is a wait and see peroid.... I'm about to go nuts! The stereotactic biopsy read the following AtypicalAtypical pneumonia ductal hyperplasia. FocalFocal neurological deficits rigid arcade formation, with realatively monotonous population of small ductal cell. The arcade formation incompletely involes the larger ducts. In addition there are micropapillae. Determinant microcalcififcations are note in these areas. there appears to be duct ectasia. During the last biopsy the raidoligist asked me if I had an MRI of my breasts and suggested that I ask by Doctor for one... am I missing something here.
You really need to post this on the other breast cancer forum at the top if you want the doctor opinion here. We are only allowed two question a day and it may be full today. breastcancer.org is another site that may give you valuable information. And some of the womenWomen's way here may be able to help give you opinions about your questions. Sorry I can't help. I do have a couple of questions. What type of doctor are you seeing? You really need a good breast specialist/surgeon. Is there a breast cancer center near you? Have you gotten actual copies of your path report or are you going by what the doctor is telling you?
When will you get the excensional biopsy report? That will be the one that matters? AtypicalAtypical pneumonia hyperplasia is abnormal cells. Maybe you already knew that. Call your doctor and have them explain your results again or more clearly. Try to calm down. I know it's hard. Been there. Be armed with questions. I would get a second opinion.
my sister is a trooper... She has me going to body pump three times a week and cycling twice. I call her the chemo kid. She is hard to keep up with. Exercise has been a critical part of her recovery. She looks really healthy... less her hair. She does IP chemoplatnim every two weeks. She is the bravest - she refuses to let it stop her. I've really been looking up to my little sister these days. thanks for asking!
