Worried about lump

I am a 41 year old male, I found a lump just left of my right breast. The lump is sore if touched and sometimes hurts. It has grown in size and now is completly overlaping my nipple on both sides. I had a ultrasound and it was classified a cat 4  mass.I saw a specialist and all he would say it he was real concerned at the way the ultasound looked.  I am waiting for a biopsy to be performed, and I am real concerned that it is cancer what are my chances.

Hi I hope it's alright to ask a ? here?
I have a lump on the side of my left armpit.
It is painful and my left breast is also in pain.
The breast has had sharp pains go through it 2 time with in a week
which leaves my breast very sore.
I went to the doctor and he put me on antibiotics for 7 days.
Will i have taken all the antibiotics but they didn't help.
I have a mammogram appointment next week.
I called the office yesterday and told them the antibiotics didn't
help. They said to wait and and see if the mammogram shows
anything. My left breast really hurts.
Can anyone tell me if there is anything to help with my pain?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Dear Linc6410,  Male breast cancer is rare, but one out of every 150 cases of breast cancer involves a man, usually in men over 60 years old.  Although a painless breast lump is the most common sign, most breast lumps in men are benign (non-cancerous) and are related to some other cause.   It is impossible to say for sure what this lump is without further evaluation.  We encourage you to follow through with your doctor's recommendations.

I am not a medical professional, but I've had 3 breast biopsies, so I've read a lot about them. When you say the doctor said it was a "4" I assume you mean BI-RADS 4. That means the lump is suspicious, but there's still a very good chance (50-75%) it is benign. BI-RADS 5 are almost always malignant. If it's growing that much it probably needs to be removed regardless. Have they scheduled a biopsy?
