Wrong biopsy?

Wrong biopsy?

I am 33 years old and recently had an incisional biopsy on my right breast.  The pathology report showed it to be benign.  I was overwhelmed by the possibility that I may have cancer and I stupidly just accepted anything and everything that the doctor did or did not do.  I am now worried that this biopsy was the wrong type.  I went to a clinic(had no insurance)in the middle of Jan due to a lump under my right arm and was told that it was a boil and they drained it and gave me antibiotics. Within a few days my breast started swelling, it had a pink color to it and there was a sore under my breast that still hasn't gone away.  When I finally went to my primary on March 1(day insurance started), my breast had creases all around it, I had a lump on my chest(above right breast) that could be felt when I pulled my arm back(no lump on left side when doing this)and now I began to have pain when walking.  She gave me antibiotics (by this time I had been on antibiotics almost continuously since December because of an ear infection and the boil) and symptoms did not disappear.  I had a mammogram and an ultrasound which showed nothing (they barely looked at the lump on chest).  She then referred me to the surgeon.  He spent about 2 mins with me.  Like the others, he blew off the lump on chest(only looked at it with my arms down) and said I could wait for 6 weeks or get a biopsy. The last couple of days my breast has had warm, red patches on it, what looks like peau d'orange and yesterday I noticed a dimpling area on breast.  I am very scared about IBC, but am I paranoid?  Please help.

Dear beeker, I'm a little confused about what you are describing above and what you have or have not had biopsied.  If you are not clear regarding the results of testing and/or you are having new symptoms contact your surgeon and ask for clarification and describe your new symptoms so they can be evaluated.

Inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) is a serious type of breast cancer however it is rare and accounts for only 1 to 4 percent of all breast cancers. It is called inflammatory because the first symptoms are usually a redness and warmth in the skin of the breast, often without a distinct lump. It will often be mistaken for a simple infection and be treated with antibiotics. IBC would not get better on the antibiotics, however it also wouldn
