am I overreacting?

I was on here about a year ago asking a question about a large lump in the left breast. I am 26 years old and have been having annual mammos for about 4 years. I have many health problems. I have recently found a new or unfamilliar lump in my right breast. I went to the DR and they scheduled another mammo and ultrasound for the 14th. Shortly thereafter I noticed a tender spot under my right arm and a small lump. I am unsure where the lymphnodes under the arm are. I am not real concerned about the lump in the breast due to fibercystic tissue in breasts but the lump under the arm has me freaked. I talked to a friend of mine and she told me that my diabetes may have something to do with this. I have never heard of any connection between diabetes and breast lumps. Should I try to move up my mammo or just let it go? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I have 3 small children and my greatest fear is that I will not be around to see them grow up due to my letting something like this go...

I am so sorry to hear about your cancer spreading before you found it.  The Doctor who you went to that did not pursue the tests...Was he a surgeon, or a general practice man?

I had a lump under my arm smaller than a tennis ball, but bigger than a golf ball/, it was growing too, my elbow started to swollen up, I had painful lumps on my sternum, under the skin, and under my breast. It did not hurt, under the arm, When I was shaving I seen the lump. For 2 month I went to my doctor to tell something is wrong. He told me fatty tissue, fatty tissue, Fatty tissue. I told him, I have 2 armpits?! the other one is OK.
Finally he sent me for ultrasound - it was negative.
I asked him to do further workup, he denied.
I april, I went for my yearly mammogram/ by myself/, it was positive.
CAT scan, PET scan, surgery. Breast cancer metastatic to the liver, 10 lympnodes had cancer.
SO,MY SWOLLEN ARMPIT was not fatty tissue, it was CANCER.

Dear dolphingirl1224:  There are many types of lumps, many of which are harmless.  The important thing is to have this evaluated.  Waiting one week is reasonable and you should not worry about having "let this go."
