arm pit lump

i have found a lump under my armpit. It is visible and painful. I have had it there for two days now and now some puss is coming out from that. Im hoping its nothing to worry about since there is pain and some puss. Is this something to worry about?

I have a similar problem but my lump has been there for a while. I'm 14. I'm really scared of doctros, but when I told my mum, I was taken to the Dr, and she gave me anti biotics. The lump under one arm is now gone, ut the other still remains there. The dr said if it doesn't work, come back so the 'stuff' can be taken out, and examined. I don't want to do this because I'm really scared. What should I do? Is his cancer?

Hi,
An arm pit lump with pain and pus coming out means that it is an infective lesion, a breast abscess mostly, which needs to be taken care of immediately. It could also be a breast cyst with secondary infection. The pus would have to be taken out by a doctor and maybe sent for culture and sensitivity studies to the lab. You should get an appointment with your physician and get a clinical evaluation done. He might prescribe you some antibiotics and painkillers and some topcal application medicated ointments. What is your age, and do you have any other clinical features? Goodluck.
