A benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo lymph node is one that is basically normal except for it's size. Actually the term "benign" can't be determined without some type of biopsy or as in your case removal of the node. The Surgeon may have a different opinion as to the necessity for removal of this node. Lymph nodes can become enlarged for different reasons ... one being a minor infection somewhere in the body.
