Hi.
The armpitArmpit lump pain that your friend is experiencing is secondary to the surgery done. This is usually experienced after an axillary lymph nodeLymph node biopsy Swollen glands Swollen lymph nodes in the groin Swollen lymph nodes under arm dissection. Fatty tissue is removed during the procedure, resulting in fibrosis during wound healing. It is very important that your friend do upper extremity exercises or even undergo rehab therapy to prevent contracture that can limit the range of motion of the upper extremities. She can also take any over-the-counter pain reliever.
Good luck.
