dx br ca 6-05  lumectomy 7-05 dense dose chemo, 4 q/a  4 taxol and radiation finished  complete hysterectomy 12-05  was put on aromasin immediately  having seaver hot flashes, and axiety attacks  how long will these symptoms persist  am also osteopienia and am to start flosamax  have been having some upper hip pain

Dear mjjporter,  While hot flashes and anxiety can be side effects of Aromasin the experience of these side effects can vary between persons.  I am attaching a link to the website Chemocare.com. Hi,

I have been on Aromasin since completion of dose dense, AC&T and radiation (still on 6 more months of Herceptin)in October.  I have a lot of stiffness and pain at night in my wrists, elbows, lower back and hip.  My onc said the side effects from Aromasin should last about 6 months and hopefully get better after that time.
