ascites and breast cancer

My sister is stage 4 for a long time. Only alternative medicine. No chemo, radiation. It's spread to liver, bones, spine. The ascites in her stomach is very bad. We've done diuretics, no tapping though. She has the wasting syndrome. Very very thin except for the stomach. All her blood levels are great, tumor marker tests are good. The cancer is not growing but the belly is huge. This wasting syndrome is called cachexia. This is what may kill her. We're running out of answers here. How dangerous is the stomach tapping? Does anyone have any answers???

For comfort she should really be tapped. It's a relatively simple procedure and more than likely in her condition a type of drain will be left in place to keep the fluid from accumulating. This will giv her a great deal of relief.
