asymmetrical breast tumor

Please give me an idea of what an asymmetrical finding in my mammo could be.  Of course I am fearing cancer, but would like to know of other things that might be an explanation.  Thank you.

Finding an asymetric density on Mammogram isn't at all unusual and this usually calls for additional views called magnification or compression views. This could be any number of things and doesn't even mean a tumor. It can be as simple as a shadow or breast tissue that has folded over on itself. Just folllow whatever was recommended as the next step and I'm sure your questions will be answered.    Regards ....
