Hi,
Atypical ductal hyperplasia is NOT cancer or a pre-cancerous lesion. But it means that the person is predisposed to "increased" risk of cancer.
ADH means that there is an area in the duct of the breast that has an increased number of cells (hyperplasia) that look different than normal .

If you have been diagnosed with ADH ,you should follow your doctor's recommendation about the management plan .

I have atypical cells ,benign results from a biopsy recently and truly these cancer help sites are a blessing to learn one's condition.
