axillary dissection - secrets?

I had an axillary node dissection last week. Just wondering if any of you ladies have any words of wisdom on how to stay smelling clean and fresh until these steristrips fall off my arm pit. I know no lotions or deodorant until they come off. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but just wondering.

Since you have steristrips I'm guessing that your sutures are internal ... and that you are allowed to bathe/shower. That's about it if you were told not to use deodorant.
