Hi there again about a month ago I was asking questions about my breast I have had a rash on my aroela and nipple on my left and right breast very itchy and sometimes painful my gyn doc gave me a betamethasone cream well i used it for 3 weeks 3x a day a little bit of the redness went away I still had the rash though then he gave me a deal of methaypredisone i took and geuss what i still have the rash, so i called him back and he said its time to see a dermatologist ok well went today and he said it looks like ecezma (eczema) he gave me elocon told me to use this and come back in a month he did mention that if this didnt work he would have to get a biopsy done on my breast he brought up pagents desease which of course he said was a very very rare case of breast cancer ....  is there any difference in the betamethasone and the eolcon??? i am very nervous should i get a third oppinion or wait again.......

Hi,

There is difference between both these drugs. Betamethosone is a stronger steroid than mometasone(elocon) and hence mometasone is recommended for tender areas such as the site of your lesion. You may get a third opinion, but you must try out the treatment advised by your doctor for the requisite period. It is also advisable that you maintain good hygiene of the site as well as keep the area moist by using a moisturizer.

Please let us know if you have any doubts and also keep us posted on your health.

Good luck.
