black discharge from left breast

I have this black discharge from my left breast when squeezed.  There is a spot on the breast that is painful when pressure is applied.  What's up?

It's not unusual to have a discharge from your nipple when squeezed and the secretion  will stop when also the squeezing will.
Nipple discharge usually isn't associated with breast cancer.
Your chances of having unusual nipple discharge increase as you get older and with the number of pregnancies you've had.Several conditions could be responsible for the secretions.Yellow, green, brown or black discharge may be caused by duct ectasia or fibrcystic breast changes.

Regular self breast examination is very important to detect lumps in the breast.The spot in your breast that's painful when pressed, could be a cyst,but it's impossible to tell you for sure what this could be..
In some cases, nipple discharge does require treatment and may not go away on its own Discovering the cause of nipple discharge, will help in determining the cure.
I would urge you to see your Doctor anytime you notice changes in your nipples or breasts for evaluation.
