black discharge

by jen59847, Sep 12, 2009 08:36AM
my right breast is exuding a black (almost like stain) discharge from one duct.  No pain, or symptoms in the breast other than it appears deflated compared to the other one.  Can this be cancer?

With the limited amount of information it's impossible to speculate as to the cause of the discharge you mention. Breast discharge can be almost any color and consistancy and of no particular concern under certain circumstances. When the breast is squeezed this is a normal response. You should ck. with your Dr. for an examination to be sure exactly what is causing this discharge. When discharge is from one breast only and occurs without stimulation and is bloody then there can be a serious underlying cause. An examination of the breast and possibly the discharge is needed to determine what is causing this in your case.   Regards ......
