breast cancer chemo and hot flashes

by jeandg, Oct 11, 2006 12:00AM
I just started my second round of chemo and I am taking letrozole (Femara) for my hormone medication. I have started having hot flashes and night sweats. My night sweats are so bad I wake up and have to change my gown and pillowcase. I have a hard time going back to sleep. It started out okay but it is starting to really get bad. Do you have any suggestions or remedies?

I had very bad hot flashes when I went through chemo eight years ago.  All I can tell you is that it does get better after you finish the chemo.
