Thank you, I will do that...
The reason nothing has been done about the discharge is that it isn't usually a cause for concern ... unless of course it might become bloody and from one breast only. This might indicate a problem involving a milk duct and some treatment would be available for that circumstance.
That's too bad that you weren't informed about Fibroadenomas .... but I suppose that happens more often than we would like. You might "search" the term if you want more detailed information. When you see your Dr. you might make a list of your present concerns OR even ask for a referral to a Breast Specialist .... do whatever it takes so that you are left with no questions about this present situation. Fibroadenomas are frequently surgically removed if or when they become very large and cause considerable discomfort. Take care ....
Thank you for your comment and taking time to answer a question. The discharge I have had for 21 years and no one seems to want to do anything about it, but I do have an appointment this Thrusday with my personal doctor, I will bring it up again, all of it, thanks again. And the lump is benign, but since the biopsy, it is much bigger and very painful, but no one told me that this might happen, and I wasn't expecting it, and it has scared me really bad, and I am in alot of pain, but I do thank you very much for your time...
When in doubt, get a second opinion from a breast specialist.
If your biopsy was negative then I doubt there is anything to worry about. The report from the biopsy should state what the lump was > cyst / fibroadenoma. Breast discharge is not usually something to be concerned about but should be investigated. If this was done before or after your biopsy then perhaps you should see a Breast Specialist and take your films and reports with you to the appointment. From your description it would seem that the lump may well be a Fibroadenoma which is a benign breast tumor that can cause considerable discomfort and can also grow in size. You might also ask for a copy of the biopsy report or have it explained to you in detail by your present Physician. Regards .....
