breast clip post sonogram

I have a clip place in my left breast due to an abnormal mamogram (mammogram). I have a rare form of cancer, Lynch Syndrome and Muri-Torre Syndrome. There was no cancer found in the breast area but they left the clip as a marker. I had my follow up sonogram and now there is a large area around the marker that shows really dark during my sonogram. Is this just scar tissue because of the byopsy? I have never had anything show that dark during a sonagram.

This may well be due to the biopsy ... this is why the clips are used and left in; this indicates that this area has been biopsied and most likely won't need further investigation in the future.    Regards ....
