breast dicomfort

hi about 5 weeks ago my left breast doubled in size and was very hard also was warm to the touch.  Dr. prescribed 6000mg a day of antibiotics.  Was on this treatment for 3 weeks, after this time the breast softened to touch but could feel a thickness to the breast.  Have had ultrasound that showed a great deal of fluid in breast and mammo that showed thickened breast tissue.  2 weeks ago a egg size lump appeared in left armpit.  I have some dicomfort at all times (it's like a bad sunburn sensation) and the area around and under the breast if touched feels like a pulled muslce feels like. I have no energy and am tired all the time. Any answers?

Well geeze its hard enough without the doctor telling you they are really worried but dont think its cancer ,sheesh.  It took mine about a week, but that sbecause they sent it out for a second opinion to Hopkins....The hardest thing is this infernal waiting. I think I was about to climb the darn walls until I found out...then I had to have a lumpectomy and wait again for those results...I was hyperplasia atypia, one stage before cancer, thankfully they got it out early.  The good news is, it usually is not cancer, but that doesnt help I know. Just keep posting over and over each day in here and maybe Dr Paul will answer you. He is usually pretty good about answering. The problem is as others post yours gets pushed down the list, so if it gets too far down post it again. Good luck. You might ask japdip in here, she is quite informative in this area, she helps many in here.

A biopsy was scheduled for last Fri. but when the surgeon looked at the mammo she said she couldn't do it then, she had to wait until a radiologist was present and while he did an  ultrasound.  I have a bleeding disorder that is worrying the surgeon when she does the biopsy, at this point I don't care about any procedures other than getting a biopsy done.  How long does it usually take to get results from your doc after having a biopsy?  Why don't the docs in this forum answer all the questions?  I have tried posting to them every day since I found this site, but they are always at their quota. The first time I saw the breast surgeon after she examined me she sat down and said "do I think its cancer, I can't say right now but I'm really worried."  Scaried me spitless and am still scared and going down fast.  It's really hard to stay positive and not worry about what ifs. Thanks for listening to me I really appreciate you!

Eventually they may want to do a biopsy and until then I don't know what conclusive answers they may obtain. Have they done MRI, that may be another avenue, but I would want a biopsy to discount IBC also if it were me.

Yeah it is alot and the cure is almost as worse as the illness. Initally was diagnosed with mastitis but now the breast surgeon doesn't think so.  On first visit to her she had a mammo done 30 mins. after her exam.  Had biopsy scheduled for 3 days later but was postponed because of what she saw on the mammo. now am going to have an ultrasound done with a radioligist and the surgeon on thurs.  The scariest is i have been on Humira for the past 51/2 months prior to this starting and the rare side effect is lymphoma.

6000 milligrams WOW....thats high.  That would be enough to make me tired and dizzy. Drink alot of water to try and flush some of that out of your system.  It sounds like you had a mastitis, is this what they said they were treating you for?  I think I would get another opinion especially with this lump in your armpit. I hope one od the docs in here see's this post.  I have had a burning sensation like that from a deoderant that blocked my pores, but this sounds much worse. Keep us up to date with your progress.
