Hi,
Mastitis is common among breastfeeding mothers. However,it can also occur in non-breastfeeding women as well.
Oral antibiotics are usually very effective in treating this condition. If your symptoms don't seem to improve ,I would  certainly seek a second opinion, preferably from a Breast Specialist who will most probably run some type of tests such as a culture to find out the pathogen and its responsiveness to ascertain the antibiotic to be prescribed. Also a Breast Specialist, after examining you, might want to further investigate your condition by ordering a punch skin biopsy to rule out a more serious condition such as "Inflammatory Breast cancer' which is frequently confused with Mastitis and only a biopsy can give a definitive diagnosis.
I hope that Nothing serious is going to come of this ,but since things are not getting better, don't let this go by,until you are absolutely sure that you have nothing to worry about.
Wishing you all the best...
