breast lump...

i have a lump in my breast, should i go to my primary care/ internal medicine doctor or a ob/gyn?  Im confused

I finally have my health insurance together and Im trying to make an appointment to see a doctor but i dont know what doctor would be the best to see first. ..im thinking an internal medicine doctor, im not sure.

I think the lump  might be pressing against a nerve because my back feels pinched. The symptoms seem to get worse around my period...the lump gets sore, my back, arm etc feels worse...Im hoping that its not cancer, im  in my mid 20s

Doctor ordered a ultrasound and mammogram along with needle aspiration. Should know the results within a month

Is it possible that this breast lump can be hitting a nerve in my back causing discomfort in my leg? I think that it's all related. I have an appointment in a few weeks. I'm seriously scared and I'm hoping that this will be resolved soon

You could make an appointment with any one of them. They'll know what needs to be done...If necessary they will refer you to a Breast Specialist..

Hi,
You have asked this same question 3 months ago. I had advised you to make an appointment with your primary care giver for a breast exam.He/she can then refer you to a Breast Specialist,if more investigation is needed , or order an Ultrasound  which would be more  appropriate at your age.
I am glad that you have your Health Insurance now, so please call your Doctor without delay so you can have this problem resolved soon.
Take care..
