I am 38 years old have perform self breast exams monthly am experiencing breast pain and under my breast is tender to touch. the pain is in my right breast and side only . there is no lump i can feel and no discharge from nipple is this normal for a woman my age to experience ?

Dear lumbert:  Many women experience breast pain for many reasons.  Without seeing you and evaluating your situation, it is impossible to know what could be causing this discomfort.  We would recommend that you see your doctor and have this evaluated.
