breast pain

by ddlewis31, Apr 15, 2008 06:11PM
I am 31 years old and after I had my first child, I started having breast pain in my left breast.  I went to the doctor and she said that he felt a small lump.  Well, scared to death, I had a mammogram and an ultrasound and they were both fine.  I thought it probably was from tugging and lifting on my toddler.

Well, I have had another child and the same thing has happened.  I went to the doctor and had an ultrasound and they found nothing. The pain is on the left side and often runs down my arm.  I am hoping it's just a muscle strain, because when I move in certain position I can feel the strain.

I am scared to death.  I just hope it's from lifting and carrying a 27 pound child.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

This discussion is related to Armpit pain, could it be from fibroadenoma?.

Hi there!

From the way you are describing your symptoms, it could really be just muscular or nerve pain in which case you may have nothing to get worried about.

The negative mammogram and ultrasound findings are comforting enough.  However, I suggest you continue monitoring your breasts for anything unusual and be sure to report these findings to your doctor.

Relax and enjoy your time with your kids!

God bless and regards...
