hi, im 36 yrs old, i had a breast reduction about 9 yrs ago. I have a strong family history of bc, every woman in my family except my aunt, mom and sister have been diagnosed.. my grandmother was 32 yrs old when diagnosed, she was the youngest. I have had mammograms for 10 yrs and always needed an ultrasound, because of dense tissue. 6 months ago i had one and they said i had an hypoechoic nodule, 4x3x5mm BIRAD 3, i needed to followup in 6 mnths... just had my second screening and now the finding is an hypoechoic nodule within deep tissue 1-2 o'clock @ 8x5x8mm BIRAD 4. they attempted to do a fine needle biopsy with ultrasound, but they hit a roadblock with the scar tissue from the reduction, are these 'nodules' common in reductions, how will i get this biopsy if is surrounded by scar tissue? should i be worried? why has it almost doubled in size? what are the percentage that this is benign?
