breast reduction possible

by tazzi57, Aug 07, 2008 11:36PM
Is it possible to convince a doctor that you need breast reductions?  My breasts are out of proportion to my small body and they hurt my shoulders, cause headaches, and break out in red infected bumps.

Yes, of course you can, generally. Have you discussed this with your doctor.  My insurance would pay for it if there was a medical explanation from the doctor for it? That does not mean all will, but it is a valid condition like any other.  A doctor may hesitate if you have other medical problems that place concern with wound healing, etc, with elective surgery, and there may be other factors, but many people have this operation for the same reason you want to have it done.
