breastlump found after giving birth

i gave birth on 14th Aug and found a lump on my left breast 3 days after. It's painful and doesn't move.At first i thought maybe breast milk accumulated and caused swelling but it doesn't reduce size or disappear.i went to see Dr 2 weeks later and she gave me a one month appoinment to see breast specialist.Do i need to bring forward appoinment?

Dear laven:  Without examination, we cannot speculate on what this lump might be.  If you are concerned, you might call the breast specialist and see if the appointment can be moved up.
