brown spots on breasts

by anaili, Jul 05, 2007 12:00AM
I'm 23 years old and I have had white spots on my back and chest that i've been told are just dry skin.  Recently i have noticed smaller brown sports in between and under my breasts.  Are these dry skin as well or something else?

Dear anaili:  Skin on the breast is like skin anywhere else on the body and is subject to a variety of abnormalities.  There are many possible explanations for skin discoloration including dry skin and irritation.  Without examination, we cannot speculate on what your brown spots may be.  If you are concerned, you should make an appointment to see your doctor.
