bruise on both breas same spot

Hello I am 24 years old and cancer does not run in my family. Monday I woke up and on my right breast saw a small bruise  towards the top of my breast. Then Monday night I found one the same size and spot on my left breast. My right breast is a little sore. I can feel no lumps or any of that. Before my period starts my breasts get very sore and and hard/tight feeling. I believe they are starting that stage. Is there something serious wrong could this be cancer? I'm a little scared.

Hi, Cassie,
Statistically, the chances of this being anything serious, especialy cancer are very low. However, there's no way to know for sure over the internet. Your concerns sound very much like they're hormonal, but the only way to know for sure is to get checked out by your doctor. He/she can put your mind at ease or order appropriate testing if there's any question. Here's a web site with some very good information about breast pain:
http://www.imaginis.com/breast-health/breast-pain.
However, your best source of information is your medical professional who knows your personal history, so please see your doctor.
Wishing you all the best,
nc

Is it maybe your bra pressing on a certain area, since both breasts have similar bruises and they may be more swollen than usual?

Just a thought.
