bump on areola of right breast has been leaking

I have had a small bump on the areola of my right breast for a few yrs.  I recently just had my first baby... was unsuccessful at breast feeding.  Its been 3 months since i delivered... i noticed brownish red spots in my bra from this breast 2 months ago.  I thought maybe it was from my nipple, but then a week later I found out it was coming from the bump on my areola.  

I haven't had a breast exam by a physician in yrs.  and my grandmother has had breast cancer about 8 or 9 yrs ago.  I've never had a mammogram... but now i am starting to have some discomfort in both of my breasts.  I made an appt with my dr but it's not for another month. Should I be overly worried... or try to get seen by someone else if I can get an early appt??

Hmmmm- has a dr seen the bump ever? What did they say it was? Is it bleeding? It might be from being so engorged with milk if it was only a month after delivery. I would get another dr to check it out sooner
