cancer?

About 5 yrs ago I noticed one breast larger than the other.
Now the radiologist has found calcification in the same breast, do I have the beginning of breast cancer?

Microcalcifications do occur normally in breast tissue. When they are found in clusters or grouped they are cause for concern. They are an indication of the response of the breast tissue to some abnormality within the breast .... certainly not always due to cancer though. A biopsy is usually recommended when these clusters of calcifications are found on Mammogram. It is important to follow the recommendation made following your mammogram but keep in mind that this is NOT necessarily a malignant finding. Regards..
