changing chemo thearpy regimen

If second opinion suggest a different type of chemo, is it okay to switch after the first has already begun? First chemo is gemzar +avastin.

Dear sandy23:  In most cases, it is not advisable to switch chemotherapy after only one cycle.  There may be exceptions to this if, for example, the diagnosis were to change.  If you are getting conflicting opinions, you should talk with your doctors as to whether this approach is recommended in your situation.
