chemo side effects

chemo has lowered my platelettes. what are the side effects of low platelettes? I know bleeding is one effect, but I have other wierd feelings.  I had breast cancer return in  my lymph nodes and have had various chemo cocktails for two years

What are other symptoms present? Thrombocytopenia, or low platelets, is a term used to describe a low platelet level in the blood.  The symptoms of low platelets aside from bleeding, are easy bruising manifested as small purple or red spots on the body and found usually in the legs. It may also include: pinpoint-sized reddish-purple spots  or petechiae, prolonged bleeding from cuts, spontaneous bleeding from thegums or nose, blood in urine or stools, or an unusually heavy menstrual flow.
