clustered calcifications

I went for a mammogram last year.  They saw an area of clustered calcifcations in one of my breasts.  They had me come back the next week for magnified views, then 6 months later and 6 months later from that date.  The report says "probably benign".  Since there wasn't any changes, I'm to return again in a year.  I'm not real comfortable with "probably benign".  Should I be having some other type of test?  I'm 44 yrs old and no breast cancer in my family.

Hi Deb800 - I've been going through this for 3 years. I had a sterotactic biopsy 18 months ago (benign). My newest views shows more microcalcifications so I'm having another biopsy. I spent some time with my radiologist looking at my new and old images. And then I found this site:

Now I know that there are different kinds of microcalcifications, and so when someone talks about them, their's might be different then yours. Look at the above link. I hope it helps you define questions for your doctor. I know I'll be asking many more questions at my next visit.
