concerned about radiology report

I had a mammogram done.The impressionshowed:Asymmetric parenchymal density in the upper outer quadrant of the right breast.there was also moderately dense fibroglandular tissue.and mild asymmetry noted.they recommend follow up mammo in 6 months with ACR Birads 3. MY question is what does all this mean ,i don't understand the report or what the birads 3 means.thanks for the help.

Dear jewels741:  BIRAD 3 means "probably benign finding, short term follow up recommended."  This relates to the asymetric density.  Dense fibroglandular tissue is a benign finding but can make mammograms difficult to interpret.  You may want to discuss this further with your doctor if you are not comfortable.
