confused about BIRAD

I have had issues for several years-i have been dligent about my mammgrams for many years and they were always normal until 3 years ago- i was told i had calcifications in my right breast- they did a diagnostic mammogram at that time and breast songram- i was told everything was fine then and to repeat in 6 months- i did this three times in a row- had a mamogram (mammogram) every six months and the calcifications remained the same and i was realeased back to a regular yealy schedule- so a few weeks ago i went for my regular mammo- it had been one year- i was called back after this to do another diagnostic mammogram and breast songram- after this i was told i had to have a sterotatic biopsy on 2 areas of calcifications- and that now i have two areas that are "clustered" and seem to be very increased- they gave me a BIRAD 4 catagory (not really sure waht this means to me since I understand there are still subcatagories within that)-the radiologist was very helpful and even showed me the areas- the are two definite areas that look like clusters of dusty sand -they are not the same as the "normal" calcifications that she showed me- i can see a definite difference myself- I have no family history of cancer- i have been reading all kinds of different stats about BIRAD 4 and there seems to be such a wide percentage in BIRAD 4 that can turn out to be malignant- form 10% to 70%- what do you think is realistic in my case? with new clustered areas of calcifications and now two of them? how worried should i really be?????

Dear Mary42277:  There is no way to speculate, based on films alone, on the probability that these areas of abnormality are malignant.  The only way to know is to biopsy.
