what i don't know is - should i revise the damaged breast up or the good breast down -
is there data to indicate if there is increased potential for cancer to return depending on any surgery performed
Disappointed you have had no reponse to your post as it is a subject I find interesting. It is too soon after my surgery but if, like you, I make the 5 year cancer-free stage I also might consider symetry alignment. I along with most womenWomen's way was not symetrical before surgery but it is more noticeable now. I think I just feel so fortunate to have the surgery behind me that cosmetic appearance is not the main problem at the moment. Suppose which breast you have altered will depend on such things as whether you had radiotherapy or not as I think that might effect the decision. However, I do not know and would like to hear the advice you are given. Congratulations on being cancer-free for 5 years - must be a great feeling.
