cyst question

by jb444, May 11, 2009 07:21PM
I know this is not a breast cancer issue but i can not find the answer anywhere.  How much liquid does a 8mm cyst hold.  I had all my milk ducts removed becuase I had issues with bloody discharge. Now I am having discharge again.  I went for an u/s and they found a 8mm cyst...my question is how much liquid because I am having discharge almost every day.  So is it asparating itself and filling agian right away???? Any hlp would be great. THANKS

I'm not sure how a cyst could drain thru the nipple if you had complete removal of the milk ducts. An 8mm cyst is quite small (a little more than 1/4 in.) and couldn't hold much fluid. If this is a true cyst I don't even see how or why it would be leaking the fluid. I would suggest that you consult a Breast Specialist regading the nipple discharge and the cyst as well. As to the amount of liquid this cyst would contain .... not much; compare it to a small pea.     Regards .....
