difference between taxol and taxotere

I have been diagnosed with metetsatic breast cancer stage IV. The cancer is on my back bone, liver and was on my femor which has been removed with a hip replacement. A liver biopsy tested HER2 positive and I am in treatment with a weekly infusion of taxotere, herceptin and steroids for life. I wanted to know what the long term side effects are for these drugs. I have read and understand from my doctor what the side effects are in the short term. However, since I will be on them for life I wondered what these drugs might do over time and what has statistically been shown to be the case in other patients. We are all so different and so I understand the generalities involved but I am interested in finding out what is known.

They are drugs of the same family .... somewhat different in two respects ... the frequency of dosage and different side effects. You might search   where all chemtherapy drugs are listed along with everything about them.   Kindest regards ....
