drain lips out ahead of time

i came home with a drain tube on mon by friday it came out of socket it was not yet 30 cc or less. called and nurse says not to up appointment and not to slip it bacck in as infection can occur . just dress it u ntil another 10 days til appointment date if a fluid causes anob in breast she can aspirate it with a needle then . i live 2 hrs from cancer center
does this sound right to do ?this happened to anyone else.p lease answer.

I agree that you should not try to put it back into your body as infection really can occur.

Your body will still produce fluid which is normal. The more you move around and do, the more fluid it produces. If you find you have a lot of fluid accumulating, make an appointment and let them aspirate. IT DOES NOT HURT, no kidding.

Keep the drain site clean with betadine or whatever your surgeon sent you home with.
