ductal hyperplaysia found

I am 25 yoa and about one month ago I found a lump in my right breast close to the nipple.  I went to my family dr. and he sent me to have an ultrasound done which showed nothing, but my dr. wasn't satisfied with that so he sent me to have surgeon who said he could do a biopsy, but it was probably nothing.
The biopsy showed ductal hyperplaysia. My mother had breast cancer at 47 yoa.  She had a double masectomy and had her lymphnodes removed.  Also my grandmother on my fathers side died from breast cancer.  I started my period at or before 11 yoa.  So with all this info shouldn't I be concidering having the breast tissue removed now before it's too late?  My mother's oncologist recomends it for hyperplaysia I just wanted your opinion.

Dear Farmerswife222:  Our recommendation would be to consider seeing a genetic counselor and a breast specialist.  The genetic counselor to determine your risk based on your family history and the breast specialist to discuss other methods of monitoring your breast tissue, such as ductal lavage or ductoscopy before you make the decision to remove both breasts.
