Hi,
One of the most common causes of elevated liver enzymes is medications. Over-the-counter meds like Ibuprofen,Tylenol, Naproxen Sodium and also some common antibiotics can cause elevated liver enzymes. Statins taken for cholesterol often cause elevated liver enzymes.
This list is from the Mayo Clinic:’

As you can see, there are many reasons for elevated liver enzymes.Talk to your doctor about any medication you might be taking,so he/she can evaluate and give you a proper diagnosis.

Sending you my best wishes...  :)

Just wanted to add that of this long list, the most common causes of elevated liver enzymes would be the drugs (Rx or OTC) and cholecystitis/pancreatitis. However, there is usually pain, nausea and fever associated with those, so you would know something was wrong. If your liver scan looks good, try not to worry too much. It sounds like your  doctor is on top of this and will definitely follow up with you on it. Just make sure to ask all the questions you need to so you feel comfortable with what's going on.
Hoping you continue to do well,
nc
