by ariesmun, Oct 04, 2003 12:00AM
Hi all,

Yesterday, my wife just go to the doctor because there
is a lump in her breast.
The doctor give her exelon.
When i searched the net for this exelon, i
found no connection between this drug with
any breast related deseases.
I found out that this exelon is for treating
Alzheimer desease.

Could you give me any information about this ?
The doctor said, that her hormonal system is
imbalance.

Please advise
Thanks
Aries

Dear Aries:  There is no relationship between Exelon and breast disease.  Your research is correct.  Exelon is used and only approved for alzheimer's disease at present.  If your wife has a breast lump, she needs to see a breast specialist.

a lump in the breast needs a plan to find out what it is. Treating it with a pill, whatever kind of pill, with no plan to follow carefully or biopsy it would be a bad idea. It sounds like seeing another doctor, especially one who deals regularly with breast problems, would be a good idea.
